Pure Mulberry Satin Ensemble ~ Encrusted with Pure Silver Danka Plates Crafted using the Danka technique – this meticulous version is a reimagination of the ancient handiwork. Danka is conventionally only cut in squares, but the pieces cut from pure silver sheets that are used for embellishing this sapphire blue garment are a blend of the traditional Danka artistry with some magical inspirations from my childhood – the mystical bugs from Arabian stories narrated by my grandmother as I was growing up. For the sequined border of the dupatta, I reimagined the conventional scallop designs into Jaipuri arches.
